My name is Chase Hanes and I am a graduate from the Library and Information Studies Program at the University of North Carolina- Greensboro. While pursuing the MLIS, I added a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies to my education. In the fall of 2017, I extended the certificate and pursued the Master's of Arts in Women's and Gender Studies. My undergraduate degree was completed in December 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I majored in English with an Honors Thesis in Creative Writing and a Minor in Art History.

 

            The interests that I have in the LIS field are numerous. As I worked as a Graduate Assistant for the LIS Department, I have developed a strong interest in academic libraries. As a life-long painter, I have a sincere devotion to art, so I am very interested in pursuing art librarianship.
